Meet the Maker

Well Hello! My name is Teesha! I am the Owner and Creator of Rustic Suds! About 19 years ago I started on a journey to rid my life of toxins and chemicals because I was going to be a mom! Being a Mom changes you and I wanted the best, clean, pure life for my baby. It took me on a journey for many years, slowly replacing all the chemical products with natural ones.

It led me to a desire to make my own natural, fragrance free soap. At the time we were hunting to provide meat for our family, now of 4 growing boys, and we found ourselves with a lot of fat from the wild game. Because we value sustainability and respecting the animals, we wanted to use as much of the animal as we could.

So I decided to make soap with it! I studied up and learned about the different ways to make soap. Through that, I discovered I really enjoy the creative process of soap making, mixed with the science and math of it all, it brought be joy to give my family quality, toxic free soap!

Over the years, I also had started dabbling in wildcrafting and growing herbs for both culinary and medicinal properties. My boys have grown up in kitchen full of jars full of herbs infusing oils and natural salves and ointments to heal all their boo boos! Intertwined with soap making, I have included many of these herb infused oils in the Superfat of the Soap ( the extra oils that stay on your skin as a moisturizer after you have washed away the suds!)

Through all this, Rustic Suds was born! My passion for natural products, healing herbs, sustainable use of the animals we ate, brought me to a place where I could serve others in the same way!

My heart is to provide you with quality, toxin free, natural products that will bring joy and healing to your skin and your soul! Made here in the Shuswap, for the Shuswap, and all it's lovely visitors!
